It provides our students a chance to do hands on activities and experiments using plants and garden animals. To become a Schoolyard Habitat the garden had to include food, water, shelter and space for wildilfe to live in. This will be the last meeting of the year. We will reconvene in the spring. Please mark your calendar for &lt;strong&gt;Saturday November 20th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm&lt;/strong&gt;. &lt;br /&gt;When? : Saturday November 20th from 10 am to 2 pm &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Where?: Living Laboratory (in the front of ECS)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What do I bring?: Tools, water, snack and smiles! &lt;strong&gt;If anyone has a pickup truck we need it!! We need to haul away all the cuttings and weeds to Ag Recycle.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What are we doing?: We will be putting the garden to bed for the winter. All perennials will be cut back and any weeds will be pulled. The edible garden will be cut down and removed for planting next year.&lt;br /&gt;Please RSVP for this meeting ASAP. Come to the&amp;nbsp;garden to see how the corn, squash and beans are growing together. It is the perfect example of a symbiotic relationship! The beans are slowly wrapping around the corn and the squash is providing shade and protection to the roots of both the bean and corn plants.
